***RFI Response*** The Olive Mill Operator supervises one seasonal employee classified under SOC 51-9198.00 - Helpers-Production Workers. This worker holds the title of Assistant Operator and performs milling-related support tasks under the direction of the Olive Mill Operator. The supervised talks include: Receiving harvested olives from on-site and off-site sources Loading olives into the mill for processing Assisting with composting processes for olive waste Performing cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas The Olive Mill Operator is responsible for assigning and overseeing these tasks on a day-to-day basis during the milling season. Although the role does not involve hiring or formal performance management, the Olive Mill Operator supervises the Assistant Operator's work to ensure it is completed safely, correctly, and efficiently during the limited production window from October through December. ***Original F.a.2*** Oversee the milling of all olives to ensure efficient and high-quality processing. Manage and implement a successful composting program to handle the olive pomace produced at the mill. Serve as the designated weighmaster for all fruit deliveries, ensuring accurate and compliant weight records. Inspect incoming fruit for quality and reject any that does not meet processing standards. Monitor olive oil quality and mill output, ensuring that all procedures are followed to produce high-quality, extra virgin olive oils Ensure compliance with all standards required by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) certification. Coordinate and schedule olive deliveries to minimize delays and ensure the shortest possible time from harvest to processing.
