WORK TO BE CONDUCTED IN REMOTE AREAS PERFORMING REFORESTATION WORK TO INCLUDE BRUSH CUTTING, LIMBING OF STANDING TIMBER, TOPPING TREES, SPRAYING HERBICIDE APPLICATION. SPRAYING: (Only herbicides labeled for forestry applications are used. The position does not mix or load of any herbicide. Mixing and loading is done by a licensed herbicide applicator who oversees all aspects of application. Each worker who sprays herbicide must be licensed with the Washington Department of Agriculture. Workers are trained both for safety and for technical procedures. The worker will be trained, once hired, to obtain the spraying license.) WORK REQUIRES THE USE OF A CHAIN SAW WHICH WEIGHS 30 POUNDS, CARRING FUEL AND BAR OIL WEIGHING APPROXIMATELY 10 POUNDS, UP AND DOWN STEEP TERRAIN, 30 - 50 PERCENT IN SLOPE. SPRAYING AS REQUIRED. WORK ISCONDUCTED IN ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS, TO INCLUDE SNOW COVERED AREAS AND WET, SLIPPERY SLOPES. MUST BE ABLE TO BREAKDOWN THE SAW FOR CLEANING AND REPAIR IN THE FIELD WHEN REQUIRED.
