*** RFI Response *** Provide yard support and inspect rail cars and trucks to ensure they meet quality standards. Quality standards mean the rail cars and trucks transporting sugar must be clean and free of pests, trash, and debris. Responsible for the packaging of sugar, including machine operations, maintenance and configuration, proper coding, case packaging, palletizing, providing the sugar sample tray to the factory chemists to conduct quality checks, lab tests, sample collection, sample testing, inspections, documentation, SPC weighing/charting and sanitation procedures. Operate sugar remelt station by using forklift to place sugar on remelt stations, dust collection, reclaim and production toting stations. *** Original F.a.2 *** Perform equipment care, operate / support mobile equipment (pay loader, pellet loader, truck, skid steer, forklift, track mobile). Operate and maintain bulk loading equipment (Weibull bins, loading / unloading equipment, screening and weighting equipment, and dust collection), and load sugar and by-products into rail cars, boxcars, and trucks. Provide yard support and inspect rail cars and trucks to ensure they meet quality standards. Set up, operate, and maintain industrial packaging lines, consumer packaging lines, packaging equipment (toting station, palletizer, and wrapper), conveying systems, and product transport systems. Responsible for the packaging of sugar, including machine operations, maintenance and configuration, proper coding, case packaging, palletizing, quality checks, lab tests, sample collection, sample testing, inspections, documentation, SPC weighing/charting and sanitation procedures. Monitor and control sugar movement in and out of storage. Comply with all current food safety / food quality / HACCP / CQP, and GMPs. Assure Regulatory Compliance with FDA and Department of Commerce. Perform sanitation, line lubrication, and dust abatement duties before start-up and during line operation. Check packaging to make sure all packaged products are properly coded, correct weight, and correct appearance. Perform and document food safety and food quality checks. Provide palletizer / wrapper and sugar screening support and stock bags for continuous packaging line operation. Operate remelt, dust collection, reclaim and production toting stations. Comply with federal, state, company, and factory safety requirements. Comply with federal, state and company quality standards / policies. Operate packaging equipment and metal detectors using control systems, perform troubleshooting and adjust as necessary. Identify product or packaging issues resulting from operational issues. Inspect incoming paper and packaging products to ensure they meet company specifications. Use hand tools and basic power tools, including metric wrench set, pick, crescent wrench, channel lock pliers, slotted screwdrivers, metric T-handle allen wrench set, deadblow hammer, scale ruler, putty knife, razor knife, impact drill/driver, air chuck, pipe wrench, metric combination allen wrench tool, standard combination allen wrench tool, standard sockets, standard wrench set, concrete hand tools, prybar, handheld cable cutters, powered cable cutters, pressure washer, roll lifting device, vacuum, hoist, screen tensioner, and gantry hoist.
