Agricultural Equipment Mechanics: The agricultural equipment mechanic job duties are seasonal in that the workers are only needed to repair farm equipment (vehicles, harvesting machines, etc) during the harvest season. Work Environment: Primarily in a shop environment, occasional field environment with some travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces or terrain. Essential Functions and Basic Duties: Following the supervisors instructions, the mechanics will diagnose, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. for various powered and rolling equipment such as cars, trucks, buses, farm equipment and generators. The workers will maintain appropriate service and repair records. May infrequently and sporadically engage in equipment repair in fields. Total Hours and Work Schedule: Employer will offer no less than 48 hours of work per week, Monday – Saturday 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Workers are needed to begin work on October 1, 2025 until June 30, 2026. Additional Conditions About the Wage Rate to be Paid at Any Work Locations: Offered Wage: $19.67/hr. Workers will be paid no less than $19.67 per hour. Workers will be paid weekly by direct deposit. Mechanics are exempt from overtime because they repair equipment that is designed to travel over open highways and public roads. If not exempt from overtime, an overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a work week. Overtime hours may vary, depending on weather or other conditions. For workers not exempt from overtime, overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the offered wage, at $29.50 per hour. Workers may be exempt from overtime and double time under the Federal Motor Carriers Act. The Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Housing Lodging (optional): Employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging, or other facilities. Workers are informed that housing is strictly voluntary/optional and may elect to provide their own housing. Housing secured with the employer’s assistance is not free of charge and employees must pay rent directly to the landlord. The estimated monthly rent is approximately $157.75 per worker. Employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite free of charge if living in housing secured with the employer’s assistance. Tools Employer will provide workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment needed to perform the job at no cost to the employee.
