- Offer description:
***RFI Response*** After sealing, production workers hand stack bags onto pallets. The bag size determines what stacking pattern is needed. Workers compare the bag size against details posted with pictures in the production area, or as included in each daily production order paperwork to determine the correct pattern. Additionally correct stacking patterns are included as part of the new employee training process. Due to weight considerations, most pallets are stacked under 40 inches high, with the tallest pallet pattern being 42 inches. No additional machinery is needed by workers to stack the bags. Movement of the stacked pallets is completed by members in different positions than the production workers. The employee’s role(s) in the production process are as bagger, sealer and stacker. The employer packages pesticides typically used in the lawn and landscaping industry. All products follow all state and federal regulations and requirements. None of these products have any PPE requirements and no specific training or state or federal certification is required for handling of the products for this position. ***Original F.a.2*** Workers typically perform a variety of tasks in production facility which may include any of the following: filling bags with fertilizers, pesticides or ice melt by holding bag in place under spout/chute as product fills the bag; labelling and sealing bags using hot air sealer that heats the bag to seal with no added fasteners/materials required; and packing bags into boxes or stacking bags onto pallets. Maintain clean work area and equipment. Entry level; requires supervision.
