Published 2025 dates include: Archery, Sept 13-Dec 31; Early Antlerless, Oct 16-Oct 19; Youth, Oct 16-Oct 19; Firearm A, Nov 8-Nov 23; Firearm A, Nov 8-Nov 16; Firearm B, Nov 22-Nov 30; Muzzleloader, Nov 29-Dec 14; and sample prior dates for Metro Deer Management, Nov 9-Dec 1; Youth Statewide, Oct 17-20; and Late CWD, Dec 20-22. After receipt of wild game carcass/trim, trim and freeze occurs due to peak-load influx (i.e. game comes in too fast to process upon receipt). To process wild game peak-load, trim comes out of the freezer and takes until June to fully process. The occupation is not year-round because the employer needs to support MN DNR-designated wild game season which is not year-round. While supporting MN DNR-designated wild game season, regular year-round beef and pork business is also serviced.
