Oyster Harbors Club, Inc. seeks Line Cooks, 9 openings, Temporary full-time positions from 5/1/25 to 10/15/25 in Osterville, MA. Line Cooks: under the supervision of Chefs, are responsible for executing cooking tasks, including: reading food slips, preparing and cooking food/dishes according to recipes, instructions and direction. Duties include: food preparation and apportioning, assist in ordering supplies, observing and monitoring cooking, and maintaining kitchen work areas and equipment in clean condition. Must be able to use all kitchen equipment, i.e. slicers, mixers, food processors, stoves, broilers, steamers, grills, fryers, ovens, kettles, knives, etc. Must be able to lift and carry food and kitchen supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. Six months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required. Workers will be paid no less than $20.97 per hour. Returning workers and workers with more experience may be paid higher wage rates up to $21.97 per hour. Overtime hours may be available at a rate ranging from $31.46 to $32.96 per hour. Generally, min. of 35 hours per week, on average 7 hours per workday and 5 workdays per week. Weekends and holidays required. Various shifts required, but generally 8 am-4 pm, 10 am-9 pm, or 1 pm-9 pm. Conditions of employment for H2B and U.S. workers: 1. Initial transportation to begin the seasonal/peak employment (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence will be at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. 2. H-2B workers will be reimbursed during the first workweek for subsistence, visa, visa processing and related costs, except passport costs, by company check. 3. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. 4. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. 5. Employer will use a single work week for computing wages starting each Monday at 1200 am and ending Sunday at 1159 pm and the employee will be paid weekly. 6. Optional, voluntary, limited, shared dormitory style rooms available, first come first served while available, for a fee of $100 per person per week (not deducted from payroll). 7. Employer will make deductions from worker’s paycheck required by law. 8. Employees with more experience, or returning employees, may be offered a higher wage rate. 9. This position is eligible for a year-end bonus.
