Performing manual labor to include the following. Commercial Tree Planting: Planting is conducted on steep terrain, 30% - 40% in slope and done with the use of a planting shovel. The employee will clear a space on the ground, dig a hole, correctly place the seedling tree in the hole, ensuring that when planted the seedling is not in a J-Root position, cover the roots with the soil, and then tamp the soil around the newly planted seedling. The employee will be required to carry a planting bag which will contain the seedlings, up and down the steep terrain in remote mountainous areas. The combined weight of the bag and seedlings is 50 - 60 lbs depending on the size of the seedlings. PRE-COMMERCIAL THINNING WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH THE USE OF A CHAINSAW. THE EMPLOYEE IS EXPECTED TO CARRY THE CHAINSAW, FUEL, AND OIL UP AND DOWN STEEP TERRAIN, 30%-40% IN SLOPE, CUTTING UNDESIRABLE AND DECEASED TREES, CLEARING BRUSH AND TO DO SO IN A SAFE MANNER. THE WEIGHT OF THE CHAINSAW, FUEL, AND OIL IS ABOUT 30 POUNDS. ALL MATERIAL CUT IS THEN PILED IN A PRESCRIBED MANNER FOR FUTURE DISPOSAL. A SMALL AMOUNT OF SPRAYING WILL BE CONDUCTED IN SELECTED AREAS PRIOR TO THE THINNING EFFORT.
