***RFI response*** As a construction laborer, the worker will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction with the use of hand tools, including hand saws, shovels, hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, wheelbarrows, digging bars, pliers, spanners, and generic tools, along with power tools such as power drills, air hammers, electric sanders, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, welding machine as well as surveying and measuring tools like levels, measuring tapes and mason’s squares, along with various other instruments and safety equipment hard hat, safety glasses, and footwear etc.; the worker will perform construction tasks at worksites such as buildings, commercial shops, and industrial buildings. The workers will also do prep work, placement, installation, curing, cutting, preparing sites, digging trenches, setting braces to support the side of excavations, erecting scaffolding, cleaning up rubble, debris, and other waste materials, and performing concrete construction-related tasks. The majority of work to be performed includes footings and foundations, retaining wall foundations, building floors, driveways, and aprons. The worker, with the use of a welding machine and safety equipment, glasses, welding gloves, welding boots, etc., will also create structural frameworks from metal and connect steel Ibeams, columns, trusses, and footers to support the roof, walls, and floors. To effectively execute their responsibilities, the employees will additionally be required to read and interpret blueprints. Additionally, using safety equipment, like helmets, harnesses, high visibility vests/jackets/tabards, eye protection, footwear, etc, the worker will be required to carry out construction laborer tasks as outlined at heights over 100 feet. Employees will be traveling to the job sites throughout the area of intended employment. ***Original*** As a construction laborer, worker will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. This position will consist of prep work, placement, installation, curing, cutting, and more. The majority of work to be performed includes footings and foundations, retaining wall foundations, building floors, driveways and aprons. Worker may operate hand and power tools of all types including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and variety of other equipment and instruments. Work also may include cleaning and preparing sites, dig trenches, set braces, to support the side of excavations, erecting scaffolding and cleaning up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. Workers will construct buildings such as commercial shop and industrial buildings. Job duties that are involved but are not limited to; site preparation, onsite physical labor, use of power tools, welding, reading and interpreting blueprints, clean-up work, and ability to work at heights exceeding 100ft. Employees will be traveling to the job sites throughout the area of intended employment. Due to the rural population, this type of travel is customary.
