Stanmar, Inc., seeks Servers, 17 openings, Temporary full-time positions from 4/1/25 to 12/10/25 in Nantucket County and Dukes County, MA. Servers: responsible for greeting customers, setting-up the dining areas, taking and placing guest orders, carrying trays and plates, serving food and beverages, cleaning and clearing tables, and calculate bills and accept payments. 3 months of serving experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required. Employer will guarantee minimum H-2B wage rate of $18.75 per hour worked. The H-2B wage will consist of Massachusetts min. wage, tips and additional employer pay as needed. A higher wage up to $21.75, may be offered based on experience, market conditions, performance and tenure. Generally: min. of 35 hours per week, on average 7 hours per workday and 5 workdays per week. Weekends and holidays required. Various shifts available but normally 6:00am-2:00pm, 11:00am-7:00pm, and/or 3:00pm-11:00pm. Shift hours may vary. Conditions of employment for H2B and U.S. workers: 1. Initial transportation to begin the seasonal/peak employment (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence will be at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. 2. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. 3. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. 4. The employer will use a single work week for computing wages starting Sunday at 12:00am and ending Saturday at 11:59pm and the employee will be paid bi-weekly. 5. H-2B workers will be reimbursed during the first workweek for subsistence, visa, visa processing and related costs, except passport costs, by company check. 6. Optional, voluntary housing is available at $175 per week for housing and utilities combined, depending on the type of housing accepted and the weeks employed. Costs for housing and utilities will be paid directly to the employer via electronic deposit not deducted from payroll. If employee accepts housing, a one-time fee of up to $150.00 will be required to cover cleaning costs, which employee will pay directly to employer. If voluntarily elected by employee, employer may provide a cash advance to cover employee’s initial expenses, which would then be recouped through payroll deductions in installments over the employment period as agreed to by employee. 7. Optional benefits may be offered to workers based on eligibility. 8. Daily transportation to and from worksite is not provided. 9. Employer will make deductions from worker’s paycheck required by law. No deduction not required by law will be made that brings the worker’s hourly earnings below the FLSA Federal statutory minimum wage. 10. No pre-employment drug screening/background check is required, but employer reserves the right to perform drug screening/background checks during the employment period, if warranted, per the employee handbook. 11.
