Ocean Edge Resort LLC dba Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club seeks Lifeguards, 6 openings, Temporary full-time positions from 4/1/25 to 9/5/25 in Brewster, MA. Lifeguards: attend to the activity going on, around, and in the pools and ensure that guests and members are adhering to pool rules and safety regulations. Observe guests and enforce the safety rules and regulations of the pool; administer first aid and/or C.P.R. as needed; perform water rescue functions. Function as a crew member within an emergency plan for the handling of accidents in pool areas. Know policies, rules and regulations governing the use of pool facilities. Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner. Assist in maintaining a variety of accident reports and the ability to read, write, understand & communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Verify your work for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards and specifications. Assume responsibility for maintaining the pool deck, break room, bathrooms, and drains. No experience is necessary; employer will train. Must be able to swim. Must have CPR certification and First Aid Training. Workers will be paid no less than $16.73 per hour. Overtime hours may be available at a rate of $25.10 per hour. Generally: min. of 35 hours per week, on average 7 hours per workday and 5 workdays per week. Weekends and holidays required. Various shifts available but normally 8am-3pm or 2:30pm-9:30pm daily. Conditions of employment for H2B and U.S. workers: 1. Initial transportation to begin the seasonal/peak employment (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence will be at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. 2. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. 3. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. 4. The employer will use a single work week for computing wages starting each Sunday at 12:00am and ending Saturday at 11:59pm and the employee will be paid biweekly. 5. H-2B workers will be reimbursed during the first workweek for subsistence, visa, visa processing and related costs, except passport costs, by company check. 6. Optional, limited, housing options available, first come first served while available, for a fee ranging $500 to $700 per month (not deducted from payroll). 7. The employer will make deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. 8. Employees with more experience, or returning employees, may be offered a higher wage rate. 9. As a condition of employment, the employee H2B and U.S. workers must submit to and successfully pass a pre-hire saliva drug screen. The cost of which will be paid for by the employer. 10.
