Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: Operating self-propelled equipment such as semi-truck with trailer in the production of crops such as corn, beans, sunflowers, and other small grains; Operate and monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. Load hoppers to feed machines with products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks and other equipment. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. Place products in containers according to grade. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing. Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Drive semi with hopper bottom or live bottom trailer to deliver crops and commodities such as DDG, Fertilizer, etc; Use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: pickups, cars, etc., Semi trucks, hopper bottom trailers, live-bottom trailers. Remove snow and ice from worksites, vehicles, buildings, and equipment. Thaw lines and break ice. Maintain heat in facilities to prevent freezing during extreme cold weather events. Speak and understand English.
