Duties may include: Grain cleaning and snow removal. Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Clean and lubricate parts. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. Record details of repairs made and parts used. This job is spent primarily in the shop. Shop must be kept clean and well maintained at all times. Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
