• Offer description:

  Workers will operate agricultural equipment, including tractors, planters, sprayers, combines, and grain carts, to perform tillage, planting, and harvesting, and to handle and store harvested grain. Workers will also drive farm trucks to transport harvested crops, equipment, and supplies between the farm's fields and its storage locations. This work is concentrated during the requested period of November 1 through March 31, after which the operation's needs shift to spring field preparation. Workers are expected to conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks, perform preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs, and clean and organize farm shops, machinery, and work areas. General farm duties also include following established farm safety procedures and protocols, and performing facility upkeep, including snow removal, during winter weather. Workers must have prior experience operating the agricultural equipment used in this work, be reliable, and comply with the employer's drug- and alcohol-free workplace policy, including testing as required. Because this work is performed in North Dakota during the winter months, workers must be able to work safely in cold and icy conditions and preferably have experience operating equipment in winter weather. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
