Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 53-7064 Packers and Packagers, Hand such as: Operate fans and dryers; Examine and inspect containers, materials, or crops to ensure that quality and specifications are met; Sort according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage; Function and monitor grain conditioning tools to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards including running dryers to pull down moisture content; Load using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, brooms; Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information; Place crops according to grade including in totes or bags; Discard inferior, diseased, rotten, or defective crop or foreign matter; Monitor and report grain grades; Drive semi to move grain to ports and elevators; Service, repair, and maintain equipment; Maintain an organized work environment, including storage areas and surrounding facilities; Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team; Assist in the management and preservation of wildlife habitat on the farm during the migration of waterfowl and deer such as: maintaining wire; removing debris; servicing wetlands; controlling weed pressure; inspect and record wildlife population; maintain adequate levels in ponds and wetland reserve program; Perform manual labor necessary to develop, maintain, or protect areas such as forested areas, woodlands, wetlands; Must be able to speak and understand English.
