Workers will perform duties as instructed and assigned by their supervisor. Drive and Service tractors: Workers are required to service and maintain all machinery that they will be using to perform their assigned tasks. This will include, but is not limited to, checking and maintaining all fluid levels, greasing all zerk fittings, blowing out debris from air filters and radiators, cleaning windows and maintaining the overall cleanliness and day to day functionality of the equipment. Worker is required to fill fuel tanks. Disking fields: workers are required to disk fields both pre-crop and post-crop. They will be number of times and direction of travel from their supervisor. Harvesting: Workers are required to operate a tractor pulling a field wagon. Workers will load wagon with empty pallets and empty crates wither with a forklift or by hand and move them to the field. Workers will back wagon up, and safely maintain contact with the mule train, while the wagon is loaded. Workers will be required to move the loaded wagon to the ramp for the loaded pallets to be offloaded. This process will be repeated throughout the day. Cultivation: Worker will be required to use provided tractor and cultivator to cultivate fields in a proper and safe manner. Worker will be required to maintain the equipment. Fertilizing: Worker will be required to maintain tractors and fertilizer equipment, and to use equipment to fertilize the corn as directed by their supervisor. Forklift: Worker will be required to operate a forklift for purposes which include, but are not limited to, the loading and unloading of pallets for the field wagons and the trucks. Topper: Workers are required to maintain the topping equipment, and to use equipment to top the corn as directed by their supervisor. Irrigation: Workers are required to set up, provide general maintenance, and operate the rain reels as directed by their supervisor. Drainage: Workers are required to maintain field drainage channels. This includes clearing blockages, re-digging clogged channels, and digging more channels. Their employer will provide a shovel. Securing Loads: Workers are required to assist in the securing of loads with straps and cables to facilitate safe transport. Maintain Clean Environment: The worker will be required to pick up by hand and place debris from throughout the production area into containers provided. Pick Corn: Worker will be required to walk along behind the mule train and pic corn and throw it into the appropriate bin, while keeping pace with the speed of the mule train. Pack Corn: Worker will be required to pack corn into the appropriate crates, as designated by their supervisor. Worker will be required to keep pace with the pickers filling the bin in the workers area. Ag Equipment Operator: Workers are required to service and maintain all machinery that they will be using to perform their assigned tasks. Workers are required to operate towed machines such as seed drills or spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops Light Mechanical Work: Workers will be required to perform light mechanical work on various pieces of equipment. The employer will provide the tools necessary to perform the described job duties without charge to the worker. The employer will charge the worker for reasonable costs related to the workers’ refusal or negligent failure to return the tools or due to such workers willful damage or destruction of the tools
