Workers will operate and assist with agricultural grain cleaning equipment used in seasonal grain handling operations associated with farming activities. Duties include loading and unloading agricultural grain products from trucks while not performing commercial transportation duties. Workers will transfer grain from on farm storage bins and grain handling areas to grain cleaning equipment for processing and preparation. Employees will clean grain handling equipment and grain cleaner work areas between different grain products, including blowing out equipment, sweeping surrounding areas, and maintaining clean and safe working conditions. Workers will perform routine maintenance and adjustments on agricultural grain handling equipment, including elevator legs, replacing cups, adjusting belts, and maintaining related components necessary for normal grain handling operations. Duties also include monitoring and maintaining grain handling areas and draining elevator pits when groundwater seepage occurs to maintain safe and functional operations. All duties are performed in support of seasonal agricultural grain cleaning, grain handling, and farming operations. Workers must be able to safely use agricultural grain handling equipment, follow instructions, perform physically demanding work, and work in varying outdoor weather conditions common to seasonal agricultural operations. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
