Workers will assist with the production of dry edible beans and barley and perform seasonal agricultural duties related to crop production, harvesting, commodity handling, and post-harvest operations. Duties include operating and monitoring agricultural equipment and machinery such as tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, farm trucks, and semi-trucks used in field preparation, planting, harvesting, and transportation of agricultural commodities. Workers will assist with tillage, planting, harvesting, irrigation management, pest control activities, grain drying operations, grain handling, grading, and movement of farm-produced commodities. Employees will perform routine maintenance, servicing, cleaning, and upkeep of agricultural equipment, grain storage facilities, farm buildings, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations. Workers will assist with cleaning, grading, processing, pearling, packaging, and bagging of agricultural commodities and monitor equipment used in commodity handling and processing activities. Duties include following established food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures, maintaining cleanliness of agricultural facilities, and supporting agricultural operations as assigned. Employees may operate forklifts in connection with agricultural commodity handling and storage activities. Workers will promptly identify and report equipment malfunctions or operational issues and assist with maintaining safe and efficient agricultural production, handling, storage, and processing activities. Occasional livestock-related duties, including feeding, cleaning, and basic health observation, may be performed as part of the overall agricultural operation. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
