Perform work involving specialized skills to keep farm machines repair. May involve pipe fitting, insulating, welding, machining, repairing, or modification and testing of electrical or mechanical equipment. May diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them. Installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment. Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment. Diagnose, adjust, maintain, repair, or overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as trucks, trailers, tractors, buses, goats and irrigation systems. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and adjusting as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. Repair defective engines or engine components. Service vehicles to maintain functionality. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Maintain repair or maintenance records. Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Following the Supervisors instructions. General Clean-up of Property and Housing. Such clean-up activities include the; debris removal; housing and structure cleaning and repair; and general clean-up as required.
