We need a seasonal employee to assist with our corn, wheat, and millet crop production season. The employee will perform all assigned duties related to the production of these crops, including preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; engaging in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; loading and unloading crops and materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks; loading hoppers, containers, or conveyors using forklifts, augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks to feed machines; performing routine equipment maintenance and repairs; and cleaning work areas, equipment, and facilities while maintaining farm grounds and landscaping. Perform general maintenance and repair of farm machinery, equipment, vehicles, irrigation systems, buildings, and other farm facilities. Inspect equipment to identify routine maintenance needs or mechanical issues; perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing worn parts; assist with routine repairs using hand and power tools; maintain and repair irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems as needed; test equipment after maintenance or repairs to ensure proper operation; keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean and organized; and drive trucks or other farm vehicles to transport tools, equipment, materials, and machinery to and from work sites.
