We need a seasonal employee to assist with the production of corn, wheat, oats, and soybean crops. The employee will perform all duties associated with the planting, cultivation, maintenance, harvest, and post-harvest handling of these crops. Duties include preparing fields and soil for planting; attaching and operating farm implements and equipment, including tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, forklifts, and other agricultural machinery; planting, transplanting, cultivating, irrigating, fertilizing, spraying, weeding, pruning, and harvesting crops; applying fertilizers and pesticides to control weeds, insects, fungi, and diseases; maintaining irrigation systems, ditches, pipes, and pumps; loading, unloading, hauling, and transporting crops, supplies, and materials using conveyors, augers, forklifts, hand tools, and farm semi-trucks; inspecting, grading, sorting, storing, packing, labeling, and preparing harvested crops for shipment; monitoring crop quality, identifying pests and diseases, maintaining production and pesticide application records, and participating in post-harvest treatment activities. Additional duties include inspecting, adjusting, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on farm machinery, vehicles, buildings, fences, and other farm structures; maintaining inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies; keeping operational and production records; cleaning and maintaining work areas, equipment, facilities, and farm grounds; and performing all other tasks related to the seasonal production of the employer's crops as assigned. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer's discretion, Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer's discretion.
