Workers will perform seasonal agricultural labor in a lamb feedlot and grain farming operation. Duties include feeding livestock, maintaining clean and functional watering systems, observing animals for signs of illness or injury and reporting concerns, assisting with routine livestock handling and basic animal care practices, sorting, weighing, loading, and moving livestock, and cleaning pens, barns, feeding areas, bedding, and other livestock facilities to maintain sanitary conditions. Workers will assist with receiving and shipping livestock and perform routine maintenance of fences, gates, and water lines. Crop production duties include operating tractors and other agricultural equipment used for field preparation, planting, cultivation, spraying, harvesting, grain handling, and transporting grain. Workers will load seed and fertilizer, monitor grain storage systems, perform routine maintenance and inspections of farm equipment and facilities, and complete post harvest clean up to support seasonal crop production and feed supply operations. Additional duties include maintaining basic operational records related to livestock and crop activities and performing general farm labor necessary to support the seasonal operation. Three months of experience operating farm equipment, driving semi, and working with livestock is required. Workers must be able to perform physically demanding outdoor agricultural work in varying weather conditions while handling livestock and operating farm equipment safely and efficiently. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
