Workers will perform assigned duties as described in this clearance order and as instructed by their supervisors. Agricultural Equipment Operator: Worker will operate agricultural equipment to perform field preparation, planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities. Responsibilities include the safe operation of tractors, mowers, tillage implements, planters, sprayers, forklifts, skid loaders, pickup trucks, and other agricultural equipment as assigned. Worker will perform routine equipment operations following employer instructions, established procedures, and safety protocols. Daily duties include preparing agricultural fields, performing planting and harvesting tasks, transporting materials, and conducting required pre-operation checks, including inspecting fluid levels, tire pressure, lubrication points, and reporting mechanical issues to management. Under direct supervision, worker may assist with the routine application of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and other crop inputs in accordance with product labels, employer instructions, and applicable safety requirements. Worker will maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic operator adjustments, routine upkeep, and general care of tools, machinery, and agricultural facilities. Worker must wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all agricultural workplace safety procedures. Workers with a clean driving record and the ability to obtain an insurable driver’s license may be required to operate company vehicles on public roads. General Farm Maintenance and Other Activities: When primary work is temporarily unavailable due to weather conditions, crop conditions, operational needs, or other lawful business reasons, workers may be assigned miscellaneous incidental duties directly related to the agricultural operation. These duties will not replace or substantially reduce the availability of primary agricultural work. Such duties may include general cleanup of the worksite, farm property, and agricultural structures; weeding, trimming, digging, cutting, topping, and removal of weeds, vines, debris, and trash from fields and fence lines; routine installation and removal of plastic mulch and irrigation drip tape; and basic irrigation maintenance and adjustments. Field sanitation activities may include cleaning, disinfecting, maintaining, and performing routine upkeep of harvest buckets, bins, trailers, hand tools, and similar agricultural equipment. Workers may also assist with cleaning and routine operator upkeep of farm vehicles and equipment. Workers may be required to assist with basic cleaning and upkeep of their own employer-provided housing and common-use facilities as needed to maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
