Workers will perform duties associated with cotton gin and press operations. Workers may operate and maintain a variety of agricultural and industrial equipment including forklifts equipped with bale clamps, wheel loaders, module trucks, tractors, skid steers, loaders, and trucks. Duties include monitoring and adjusting gin equipment, machinery, and controls, including touch-screen control systems, to ensure efficient and safe operation. Equipment operation duties include checking and maintaining proper fluid levels, refilling propane tanks, conducting routine inspections, and reporting mechanical issues to management. Workers will prepare trucks for hauling in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations. Workers must operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner and follow all employer safety policies and procedures. Workers will clean, inspect, and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure proper working condition and assist with routine maintenance and repairs using hand and power tools. Duties include replacing defective parts, components, and systems as needed and changing tires on equipment. Maintenance and repair duties may be performed at elevated heights of up to 30 feet, and workers must be capable of working safely at heights and not be afraid of heights. Additional duties include performing light carpentry, facility maintenance, and general cleanup to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties and hours may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions; all of which are beyond the employer’s control. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, hours worked, adherence to work rules, ability to follow supervisor’s instructions, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
