Job Offer information: Farm worker to run 100 HP tractors, tractor-drawn machinery for the packing of feed corn and other feed blends as well as the handling of maple sap. Use hand tools such as drills and augers. Will drive/ operate farm vehicles including trucks and forklifts. All workers are required to drive. All required driving will be on farm equipment and on farm property, farm roads and public highways. All driving or operation of equipment will be done solely on farm locations and are incidental to our agricultural operation. Workers must possess or be able to obtain a Class D driver’s license. August ‘26 to June ‘27- Retrieve corn from storage bins/silos using tractor and grain cart then bring product to the bagging facility. Load tractor trailers with grains per orders using PTO/electric augers. Mix harvested grains according to criteria for multiple feed types. Will mix blends using skid steer. Will use bagging equipment to bag different mixes according to type and weight. Monitor stitching machine to insure proper tension and sealing. Will palletize bagged grain by type and move from bagging area by forklift to warehouse and final point of sale location on the farm. Will maintain inventory of supplies and feeds as necessary. January ’27 to June ’27 Will perform the range of duties in the retrieval of maple sap. Worker will install tree taps, install/replace or repair Sap lines, monitor and maintain vacuum lines to insure proper flow of tree sap. Using tractors or trucks, will haul raw sap to processing facility. Will repair and maintain sap implements, and mechanical equipment. Will pull taps as needed at seasons conclusion and clean taps and other equipment for storage. All necessary tools and equipment for the retrieval of sap and related work will be provided by the farm owner. Workers should report for work with their own suitable work clothing. Wood lot temperatures may range from 0 to 50+ degrees (F) with likely wet snowy conditions at times. Due to health and safety concerns relating to the operation of equipment on our farm, workers are required to have the ability to comprehend simple oral and written instructions in English. After hiring, employer may conduct random drug tests at employer’s expense. Must be physically able to lift up to 80 pounds *Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of 3 months experience in performing tasks described in this order in an agricultural setting.
