We operate a large-scale dairy and crop production enterprise managing approximately 10,000 acres of farmland. Primary crops include corn (grain and silage production) and alfalfa, with integrated manure application from the dairy used for soil conditioning and nutrient management. Equipment fleets primarily include John Deere agricultural machinery and Kenworth and Peterbilt transportation equipment. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following activities: installing and removing field implements; maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas; transporting and applying materials such as manure, fertilizer, and soil amendments to improve field conditions; loading agricultural inputs and operating trucks to deliver materials to company fields; loading harvested crops and transporting them to storage locations including elevators, bins, silos, bags, and piles; performing general groundskeeping and facility maintenance; operating manure handling and application systems; diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining farm machinery, vehicles, and implements; assembling, servicing, and operating specialized agricultural equipment; conducting field preparation activities such as soil tillage, planting support, transplanting, weeding, thinning, and crop maintenance; and performing general mechanical and manual labor tasks. Workers will utilize a variety of hand tools including, but not limited to, shovels, hoes, trowels, tampers, pruning tools, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crowbars, pneumatic tools, and electric tools. Machinery and equipment that may be operated in the course of assigned duties include, but are not limited to: tractors, tractor-trailer combinations, tillage equipment, manure spreaders, grain carts, augers, GPS guidance systems, semi-trucks, straight trucks, skid steers, pickups, and other agricultural transport and material-handling equipment. All work performed directly supports the production of corn, hay, and silage as part of the farm’s integrated dairy and cropping system. Must speak and understand English.
