We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, sorghum, soybean, and silage crop production season. Employees will be required to complete all assigned job duties related to growing and harvesting these crops. Job duties include operating farm equipment such as tractors, sprayers, mowers, skid loaders, trucks, four-wheelers, bale shredders, pack tractors, silage choppers, snow blowers, balers and racks, combines, irrigation equipment, and other machinery used to till soil, prepare fields, plant, cultivate, irrigate, harvest, and maximize crop production. Employees will assist with chopping and packing silage, baling corn stalks, hauling bales, rotary mowing pastures, spraying weeds and corn, fall field tillage, snow removal during winter months, yard maintenance, setting up irrigation systems in May, putting irrigation systems away for winter, and maintaining and repairing pivot irrigation systems. Additional duties include tending and feeding cattle, cleaning pens and bedding as needed, clearing land, performing hand labor duties, attaching farm implements using bolts and hand tools, driving farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, observing and listening to machinery to detect malfunctions, and completing daily maintenance, routine repairs, and cleaning of all equipment and irrigation systems. Wages above $17.72 per hour require prior experience at City View Farm LLC and additional responsibilities. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
