We farm 1,600 acres of farm ground and have 3,000 acres of grass. We grow corn, cotton, wheat and milo. We plow, plant and spray almost every acre. We are mostly dryland but we have some center pivots. We mainly work our own ground, but we occasional do custom work for some of our neighbors. We run John Deere tractors along with Versatile tractors, case planter and Schaben sprayer and Great Plains wheat drill. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc, attach/detach implements, clean work areas, construct facilities, direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting, guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil, identify plants, crops, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load and unload materials and commodities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, maintain grounds and landscaping, maintain inventory, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery, operate self propelled machinery, record information about crops, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, trap and destroy pests, use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, box sorting equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, manure spreading equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, sprayers, spreaders, straight frame trucks, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, cotton, grain sorghum, hay, silage, wheat. Must speak and understand English.
