TRUE DON - 03/15-09/30 - This is our first time filing, for this reason the start date is later than the true date of need. The statement below reflects the true season of need, even though that will not be the start of this contract. We have a need for seasonal workers starting on March 15 through September 30 to complete the necessary job duties related to crop production . Starting on March 15 we will begin preparing for the season with machinery servicing and maintenance and hauling fertilizer. Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Assist with planting and harvesting. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Load agricultural products into trucks and semi's, and drive to market or storage facilities. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. General farm work will include making minor mechanical adjustments/repairs on farm machinery; repair/replace fencing and farm structures; perform general cleanup of farm acreage; drive, load/unload trucks/semi's. Worker may Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment, Drive trucks/semi's to haul crops, supplies, tools. Worker will be asked to operate and repair John Deere Machinery such as air seeder, combine, auger tractor, semis, ATV side by side. Provide maintenance and upkeep on machinery such as tire repair, changing oil, fueling up machinery with diesel fuel, and washing machinery. Operate auger, unload semi of wheat, lentils, peas onto auger into grain bin, drive semi transporting fertilizer. All driving will be under 150 air mile radius. Only hauling for the farm no commercial loads. Drivers' license required. CDL not required. Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two-way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges).Worker must be willing to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision. The job entails working with machinery, outdoors in all types of weather (extreme heat, wind and cold) and occasional exposure to herding hazards such as poisonous snakes and predators. Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. Drivers' License is required.
