- Offer description:
Workers will perform general ranch labor associated with the seasonal care and maintenance of an exotic game ranch during peak production periods related to breeding, calving, feeding, pasture management, and hunting season preparation. Duties include feeding and watering exotic animals, checking animal health and reporting sick or injured animals to supervisors, assisting with moving, sorting, loading, and handling livestock in a safe manner, cleaning pens, shelters, water troughs, and feeding areas, and helping maintain proper habitat conditions for the animals. Workers will operate tractors and other basic farm equipment to mow, haul feed, move materials, maintain roads and trails, prepare seasonal food plots, assist with haying activities, and support increased labor demands tied to seasonal ranch operations. Duties also include repairing and maintaining fences, gates, corrals, and other livestock enclosures using hand and power tools; cleaning and maintaining ranch grounds, barns, sheds, hunting facilities, and other farm buildings; removing brush, weeds, trash, and debris; and performing general upkeep to keep the ranch neat, safe, and in good working order during periods of heavy use. Workers may assist with pasture maintenance, loading and unloading supplies, wildlife habitat improvements, and other duties required during recurring seasonal fluctuations in labor demand common to an exotic game ranch. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires lifting, bending, walking, and prolonged standing. Workers will perform all duties as assigned related to the normal operation of a livestock ranch. 2 months of verifiable experience handling livestock is required.
