These roles are exceptional opportunities for individuals passionate about sustainable agriculture and cutting-edge cultivation techniques. Seeding Specialist - Key Responsibilities: • Seeding Operations Supervisor: Direct and monitor all aspects of the seeding process, from seed selection to planting, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision to maximize germination rates. • Seed Preparation: Prepare seeds by implementing proper treatments, including soaking, scarification, or stratification, based on specific crop requirements to enhance germination and early growth. • Seeding Techniques Implementation: Utilize advanced seeding techniques and equipment, ensuring uniform distribution and correct planting depths to optimize crop establishment. • Monitoring and Adjustment: Monitor environmental conditions during the seeding phase, adjusting factors such as temperature, humidity, and light levels to create ideal conditions for seedling emergence. • Confer with Agronomy Team: Confer with agronomists and other specialists for seeding strategies that align with growth plans and overall production goals. • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of seed varieties used, planting dates, and germination results, providing regular reports on progress and outcomes to management. • Continuous Improvement: Direct and monitor research and development initiatives for improvements to seeding methodologies and practices. Seeding Specialist Qualifications: Experience with seeding processes in a greenhouse environment, particularly with hydroponic or high-tech growing systems, including the use of paper pot machines. Strong understanding of plant biology and seed physiology. Familiarity with greenhouse management software and data tracking tools. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with a diverse team.
