Duties may include: Plant, harvest, spray chemicals, hand pick produce, load on truck, and transport to warehouse/market. Wash, sort place produce in containers. Clean, paint work areas and store materials. Nonsmoking/tobacco/drug/alcohol environment. Crops include: tomatoes, sweetcorn, watermelon, squash, cucumbers, strawberries, peppers, pumpkins. Operate tractor, forklift to cultivate fields & other related Farmworker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
