Gulf Citrus Harvesting and Hauling Inc attests and confirms that no workers will be charged any fee to obtain a job with the company. The job requires a minimum of three months of experience in tasks associated with farm experience. To perform this kind of work must be able to work outside for at least seven-7 hours a day in all kinds of weather and be in possession of the requisite strength and endurance, working quickly and skillfully with their hands. First Line Supervisor: In order to fulfill the harvesting contract submitted, Gulf Citrus Harvesting and Hauling is requested 3 First Line Supervisors that will supervise and coordinate agricultural workers performing detasseling/rogueing work. Under the direction of Gulf Citrus Harvesting and Hauling, the supervisor will assign tasks, coordinate and monitor crop production operations. They will teach workers techniques such as planting, cultivating and harvesting and the proper use of safety measures. They will train the workers to safely use the agricultural equipment, guide and demonstrate modifications and repairs of equipment and machinery. Adhere to work schedules, follow production requirements and conditions of supplies. They will keep records of personnel actions. While the First Line Supervisor does not have the authority to hire or fire workers, they will be instructed by Gulf Citrus Harvesting and Hauling to give warnings or take disciplinary actions against workers not following procedures. The Firs Line Supervisors will transport the workers from the housing units to the worksites daily and weekly errands. The employer retains the right to discharge any unqualified worker, malingerer, or recalcitrant worker who is physically able to complete the work but does not demonstrate a willingness to perform the work necessary for the employer to grow a premium quality product, or for any other lawful reason. Sanitation Requirements: For food and general safety purposes. All workers will be required and expected to always follow common sanitary practices. This is particularly critical when working on crops for human consumption. Employees are required to cleanse their hands by washing them thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before entering the fields. All workers must report all injuries and illnesses to their employer. As well as any communicable diseases such as but not limited to diarrhea, or any other infectious disease or illness. Workers shall report immediately any cuts or abrasions that cause open bleeding. No tobacco, food, gum, candy, drink (other than water), or medication is allowed while working in the field. No jewelry. watches. or fingernails longer than 1/8' are allowed. No open-toe shoes or sandals are permitted. Glass bottles, drinking glasses, or any item made from glass are prohibited in the field. Improper hygiene will not be tolerated. Throw the used toilet tissue used in the bathroom into the toilet every time, then flush the toilet. Keep the restrooms, rest areas, and portable facilities in the field clean for others. General Conditions: On the first workday. the employer will provide specific instructions and/or training (7 hours) in the proper way to perform the crop activity. After the one-day (7 hours) training and 6-day acclimation period. workers are required to perform while maintaining the required bruising and quality standards. The employer will provide the tools necessary to perform the described Job duties without charge to the worker. The employer will charge the worker for reasonable costs related to the worker's refusal or negligent failure to return the tools, or due to such worker’s willful damage or destruction of the tools.
