First Line Supervisor to perform the following duties • Work under the direction of the Operations Manager • Supervise and coordinate activities of agricultural workers engaged in maintenance, pre-harvest, harvest and other related field work. • Assign daily tasks as directed by management and ensure workers are present and performing assigned duties. • Monitor work progress and report productivity and work conditions to management. • Observe workers to ensure compliance with safety and food safety policies and report violations to management. • Provide instruction and demonstration of assigned tasks and proper use of tools and equipment. • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets established quality standards. • Record daily production information. • Review time records for completeness and report discrepancies. • Distribute tools and materials as directed and report inventory needs to management. • Perform other related supervisory duties as directed by management. Bus Driver Specifications[JV1.1]: Employees will drive a minority of the work hours in this contract. (i.e. approximately 1-2 hours per day). At the end of the contract, drivers will have driven less than 50% of the total work hours, and thus, less than 50% of the total work days. Consequently, driving is not a primary job duty in this job order. Employees may be assigned to operate a bus to transport workers from employer-provided housing or designated pick-up locations to assigned worksites and return workers at the end of the workday. Employees will also work in the assigned crew. In order to drive a Bus, Employees must possess a valid drivers’ license (state issued) and must be able to pass Class B Physical exam and register as an FLCE driver. All employees in this position (H-2A as well as corresponding domestic workers), will be given the opportunity to obtain a driver’s license (DL) and register as an FLCE driver on a voluntary basis. The DL and FLCE Certificate are not a pre-hire job requirement. No job applicant will be denied an employment opportunity due to a lack of a DL or FLCE Certificate at the time of application and/or hiring. Further, no worker (H-2A or corresponding domestic worker) will be terminated for failure to obtain a DL or FLCE Certificate. The employer will cover costs associated with the workers obtaining an FLCE certificate and the type of driver’s license if required. Additionally, the employer assures that drivers will be compensated for their transportation-related time, actual driving time, processing Bus paperwork, trips to the gas station and cleaning the vehicle.
