  Inspect, maintain, repair and build new fences, cattle handling facilities; Inspect, maintain, and repair existing water lines/tanks; Scrape manure from pens that will be used for fertilizer; Attend to cattle on winter pasture and summer pasture; Thaw frozen water lines and break ice on frozen water tanks; Operate equipment used to maintain and improve pastures; Weed control around cattle facilities; Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain; be able to operate skid steers, water transports, attach and detach equipment, set corner posts and H-braces. Properly install fence supports such as buried anchors and post braces. Operate feed trucks to distribute the proper amount of feed based on the age, size, and breed of cattle being fed.
