We are a 4000 acre hay farm. We grow alfalfa conventional and organic. We will be swathing, raking, chopping green alfalfa then hauling in trucks to the alfalfa pellet processing mill and making pellets out of it. Loading out pellets. Cleaning around mill and maintaining mill and all equipment. Irrigating the fields. Winter time we will be making pellets out of ground alfalfa that gets hauled in to the mill and shipping pellets out. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; construct facilities; construct structures to support plant growth; guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; maintain inventory; operate self propelled machinery; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, dirt moving equipment, forklift, irrigation equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, silage choppers, straight frame trucks, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: hay. Must speak and understand English.
