Perform daily equine care tasks including feeding, watering, turnout, stall cleaning, and barn sanitation in accordance with accepted animal husbandry practices. Observe horses for signs of illness, injury, or abnormal behavior and report concerns promptly to supervisory personnel. Safely handle, move, and restrain horses as required to support training, veterinary, farrier, breeding, and operational activities. Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and minor repair of barns, fencing, gates, stalls, pastures, and related ranch infrastructure to ensure safe and continuous operations. Operate ranch equipment, vehicles, and power tools in a safe and responsible manner consistent with training, manufacturer instructions, and workplace policies. Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities to reduce operational interruptions and safety risks. Identify unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or hazards and take appropriate corrective action or report issues according to established procedures. Assist trainers, barn management, and staff with operational support tasks necessary for the daily functioning of the equine facility including: tacking, grooming, and cooling down horses. Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly, and professional condition consistent with industry standards. Perform additional duties as assigned that are reasonably related to equine production, facility operations, and ranch maintenance. Manage projects including overseeing budgets, project resources and regulatory requirements and resolving design or technical issues.
