We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn and soybean crop production. Employees will be required to perform all assigned duties related to growing these crops, including preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors; operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; and engaging in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, and harvesting activities. Duties also include applying fertilizer and pesticide solutions; loading and unloading crops or materials manually or with conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks; loading hoppers and containers to feed machines; manipulating equipment controls; observing machinery to detect malfunctions; recording agricultural data; and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Employees will drive trucks to transport crops, supplies, or other materials; plan and adjust routes using navigation tools; inspect vehicles to ensure mechanical and safety equipment is in proper working order; perform basic maintenance and repairs; inspect, load, and secure cargo; maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions; maintain required logs; operate communication and navigation equipment; and keep vehicles clean and orderly. Installing, maintaining, and repairing farm machinery, vehicles, irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems; lubricating and reassembling equipment; testing systems for proper operation; transporting tools and machinery to repair sites; recording repair details and parts used; conferring with users to assess problems; and maintaining accurate repair and maintenance records. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer
