FARM LABORER: Worker will be required to complete the following activities: fruit tree planting & transplanting; vegetable planting and sowing; trellis system install, maintenance and removal; deer fence repair; irrigation system install and maintenance; fruit tree and vegetable plant care and maintenance such as train, tying, prune, trim, stake, trunk painting or thin; general orchard and vegetable garden maintenance such as laying mylar, picking up rocks, removing old string and wire from trellis and orchard blocks, weeding, hoeing, fertilizing, or stump removal; wash and sanitize harvesting bins; drive and operate vehicles, trucks, tractors or other agricultural equipment such as forklifts; spray crops with tractor and spray attachment; routine general repairs and maintenance of farm equipment and tools on farm; hand harvest to quality standards of apples, apricots, asparagus, cherries, nectarines, peaches, pears, plums, pumpkin/squash, rhubarb, strawberries, and commercial garden produce; pack employer-grown produce to food safety standards; apple pressing, solely for employer’s product; conduct various field and farm clean up tasks at end of season.
