Perform tasks associated with planting, cultivating, cutting, harvesting, and baling hay. Operate tractors and farm implements for cutting and raking hay, bailing and moving bales. Maintain farm machinery and perform routine maintenance and cleaning when needed. Feeding, watering, and monitoring cattle. Assisting with breeding, birthing, and weaning activities and administering medications and vaccinations when needed under established protocols. Herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures. Patrolling grazing areas on horseback or all-terrain vehicles and maintaining basic livestock records. Perform general maintenance; including cleaning and disinfecting pens and barns, repairing fences and buildings, mowing, and maintaining farm grounds. Occasionally driving to town to obtain farm or cattle supplies.
