Perform Duties such as driving and operating tractors for planting crops and grains such as alfalfa, millet, and corn for livestock feed. Workers will drive tractors and operate designated equipment to cut/ rake/bale forage for the animals. All bales will have to move back to the ranch for the winter months. Employees will feed cow /calf pairs. When spring arrives, the livestock herd will be vaccinated, calves will be branded, and cow /calf pairs will be moved to the pastures for the summer months. A weekly route will be done to check each pasture and deliver minerals and feed supplements. Maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, buildings, structures, and grounds. A strong fencing background is needed Must be able to work independently after given instructions and be able to tolerate heat conditions. The existing fence will need to be fixed and gates and corrals will need to be maintained. Employees must have a valid driver's license or be capable of obtaining one within 30 days. Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls of the operation only. NO TEXTING. No smoking in equipment, vehicles, fields or housing units. No drinking of alcoholic beverages is prohibited during working hours and otherwise discouraged. Must be on time for work. No Educational level is required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must have three months of tractor driving with towed implements and operate computerized feeder wagons with a weight scale and monitors for feeding cattle. Cattle experience is necessary.
