We need a seasonal worker to assist with our crop production season for corn, wheat, rye, soybeans, cotton, peanuts, and watermelons, performing all assigned duties related to growing, maintaining, and harvesting these crops. Job duties include preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operating tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, self-propelled equipment, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; engaging in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, irrigating, and harvesting activities; applying fertilizer and pesticide solutions to control insects, weeds, fungus, and diseases; irrigating soil using portable pipes or ditch systems and installing, maintaining, and repairing pivot irrigation and climate control systems; loading hoppers, containers, conveyors, and agricultural products using forklifts, augers, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks, wheelbarrows, or carts; manipulating equipment controls and monitoring machinery operation to detect malfunctions; driving farm semi-trucks and other trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools to markets, storage, or delivery locations; inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, irrigation systems, vehicles, buildings, fences, and other structures; recording required agricultural data and observations related to pesticide use, yields, costs, plant health, and growth progress; harvesting crops, fruits, vegetables, plants, shrubs, and flowers by hand and bunching, wrapping, packing, and labeling products for shipment; cleaning work areas, equipment, and facilities; maintaining farm grounds and landscaping; hauling and spreading soil amendments; sowing grass seed, planting plugs, and cutting, rolling, and stacking sod; maintaining inventory of plants, materials, equipment, and products; and ordering supplies as needed.
