We are medium sized row crop farming operation in rural Northwest Tennessee. We grow primarily corn, soybeans, wheat and cotton. We are around 1/3 irrigated with center pivot and primarily run case equipment that is anywhere from 5-15 years old. We have 200,000 bushels of on farm grain storage. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; maintain inventory; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; weigh containers and record weights and identifying information. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, semi trucks, sprayers, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, cotton, soybeans, wheat. Must speak and understand English.
