-Pruning: Using hand shears or loppers, workers will cut back old shoots or canes per the recommendation of the vineyard management company. -Shoot Thinning: Per the recommendation of the vineyard management company, workers will manually eliminate unwanted shoots from growing positions. -Leaf Pulling: Workers will manually pull leaves in strategic areas around grape clusters. -Suckering: Workers will eliminate unwanted new growth "suckers" from the base of the vine plant. -Moving Wires: Workers will manually lift trellis wires to lift vine canopy growth. -Hoeing: With the aid of a long-handled hoe or shovels, workers will eliminate weeds growing. -Vine Training: Workers will manually bend and position new vine canes. -Planting: With the aid of a long-handled shovel, workers will dig a hole and will plant a vine in the hole -Removal of vines: With the aid of shears, loppers, and a long-handled shovel, workers will cut and eliminate unwanted vines. -Removal of Stakes: With the aid of a stake puller, long-handled shovel, and or chain, workers will remove broken or unwanted stakes. -Installation of stakes and wire: With the aid of a post-pounder, workers will drive new in the desired locations. With the aid of a come-along, workers will tighten the wire and wrap it around the vineyard end post. -Harvesting: With the aid of harvesting shears, workers will cut ripen grape clusters and place them in harvesting bins. -Pesticide Application: With instruction from the vineyard management company, and with the proper training, workers will apply pesticides "Pesticides, Herbicides, Fungicides" using a tractor with a sprayer, a backpack sprayer or an ATV with a sprayer. -Tractor Work: With proper training of tractors and implements, workers will conduct tractor work such as, disking, cultivating, leafling, and weeding throughout the vineyard. -Irrigation: With instructions from the vineyard management company, workers will turn on and run water wells and check drip emitters through the vineyard -Of Grapes and Citrus -Control of Pest: Workers will use pest control traps such as gopher or squirrel traps and place them in gopher and or squirrel hole. Work also includes: planting; transplanting; trimming, removal of side shoots, set up and tear down of field green houses, 16/20 stringing, weeding with long-handled tools and hoes; staking; stringing; cleaning; harvesting; irrigating; cultivating; installing field greenhouse structures; thinning; hand harvesting; pruning; shoot thinning; leaf pulling; suckering; moving wires; hoeing; vine training; removing vines and stakes; installing stakes and wire; and irrigating and harvesting grapes. Placement of seed into bins, filling seed bins for flowers, and general farm labor of the following commodities: peas, squash, and peppers. General field cleanup of: broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, onion, tomato, potato seed crop, beets, celery, garlic, and pepper.
