We are a 4000 acre farm raising corn, wheat, soybeans, sugar beets and alfalfa. Our equipment is mainly John Deere, using John Deere guidance systems. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, grain carts, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, sprayers, straight frame trucks, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, hay, soybeans, sugar beets, wheat. When not performing field activities, worker will be doing yard work and maintenance such as mowing grass, taking care of buildings and spraying weeds. Shop work will also be required when not in the field, doing things such as servicing equipment, cleaning equipment and some repair work. Must speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 1 worker to begin April 1 and 1 worker to begin Aug 1.
