The Farm Laborer may drive tractors/trucks and perform a variety of crop raising duties pertaining to lettuce, spinach, and cabbage. Plow, harrow, plant, hoe, weed, fertilize, cultivate, spray and harvest using a variety of farm machinery. Move irrigation pipes, lift fertilizer bags. Load and unload irrigation pipe from farm trailer. Maintain/repair farm implements used in planting/harvesting crops from field to storage. The workers will also load, and transport harvested crops from the field to storage. Pick stones, clean out and repair fence lines. Work in all weather conditions. Ability to lift 60 lbs. 5 feet high repeatedly. 3 months conventional fresh market vegetable experience. Random drug testing may be required upon suspicion for both foreign and domestic workers. 60 Hours/week. Additional hours required as necessary based on weather and crop progression. Hours may vary based on weather and crop conditions.
