- Offer description:
Workers will report daily to the employer’s shop to clock in and receive work assignments and instructions for the day. Workers will assist in the shop with preparing farm equipment to be field‑ready, including routine cleaning, inspection, and basic maintenance during the crop season. In the field, workers will perform general agricultural labor, including but not limited to picking rocks, preparing land, planting crops, and harvesting crops. These duties will be performed using modern farm equipment and hand tools as required. Workers will operate tractors and other farm equipment to support agricultural operations, including operating tractors equipped with blades to pack feed as it is harvested and transported to the farm. Workers will also use tractors and trucks to spread manure from the employer’s lagoon onto fields for fertilization purposes. Workers may drive farm trucks to transport harvested crops from the field to the farm. Workers will perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment used during the crop season as needed. The job requires the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds with assistance. Workers must have a minimum of three (3) months of verifiable experience in crop‑related agricultural work. Workers must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break. Workers may be offered work occasionally on Sundays, but Sunday work is voluntary and not required. Work schedules and hours may vary due to weather, crop conditions, and operational needs and may include a rotating schedule. Workers may work 6 days per week, with either Saturday or Sunday designated as the weekly day off. Weekly hours may range from 50 to 70 hours per week depending on conditions. Overtime may be available.
