Assist with minor maintenance of field equipment & machinery including: Change oil & application of all equipment lubricants, assist with working on snap bean harvester heads & elevators by replacing bearings, belts & picking fingers/teeth, Change out tires on equipment as needed, and assist with miscellaneous minor equipment tasks. Operate field equipment as a back-up operator, as needed. Assist with minor maintenance of waste water irrigation equipment including: unplug irrigation nozzles in preparation of running waste water irrigation systems and periodically during production also, as they get plugged, Replace irrigation nozzles & drop lines in waste water irrigation systems prior to running irrigation system and during the entire production season when needed. Operate tractor and drag, in order to drag the waste water irrigation fields, and fill in waste water irrigation track with rock-fill, in order to effectively run/move the irrigation system. Operate spotter trucks & raw product trailers including: responsible for securely latching spotter truck/tractor to trailer prior to moving them, keep windows and mirrors clean for adequate & safe visibility purposes, back up semi-trailers with spotter truck/tractor on truck ramp to even-feed dumper location, in order to dump raw product, assist with operating raw product dump process into even-feed, pull semi-trailers off of truck ramp with spotter truck/tractor after trailer is emptied, effectively follow direction in where to pull raw product trailers from and where to park empty trailers, communicate any defects or issues with equipment or raw product to full time maintenance & processing staff, weigh-in and -out, the tractors & trailers loaded with raw product coming through the scale, Assist with waste product clean up in the raw product area & load waste product and operate tractor & dump cart. All employees who successfully work as defined below throughout the entire production season or the specific work assignment, will be entitled to receive a retention bonus of: $.85/hour for every hour worked in addition to their hourly wage. This additional bonus is payable within 30 days upon completion of the production season. Criteria as described in company policy. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
