Farm Equipment Operator: Worker to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: prepare farm equipment for field work and harvesting, prepare soil for crop planting using tillage equipment such as discs, high speed discs, cultivators, in-line rippers, and chisel plows; operate farm machinery such as forklifts, tractors, mowers, cherry shakers, and trucks for harvest, haul crops including apples, asparagus, blueberries, cherries, grapes, peaches, and pears; complete daily safety inspections and perform routine general repairs and maintenance of farm equipment; Drive Employer-provided vehicle to and from the worksite and to locations within 30 miles; complete maintenance activities on field, orchard, farm building and area, tractor vehicle and farm equipment. Oversee field workers to ensure quality performance for fruit tree thinning and fruit/vegetable hand harvest; scan workers ID badge; maintain count/weight records. Assist with hydrocooling asparagus, sorting, grading, packaging employer-grown asparagus to quality standards and storing into cold-storage or refrigerated semi-trucks.
