- Offer description:
The worker will operate agricultural equipment to support the seasonal production of spring wheat, durum wheat, soybeans, and canola on a grain farm in Webster, North Dakota. Duties include operating tractors, planters, sprayers, and combines for tasks such as field preparation, planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting. The worker will assist with connecting and disconnecting implements, conducting routine maintenance including greasing, checking fluid levels, and performing minor repairs or adjustments to ensure proper function of equipment. Additional tasks include loading and unloading seed and fertilizer, transporting crops from the field to on-farm storage using grain carts or trucks, and maintaining cleanliness and functionality of equipment and storage areas. The role also includes monitoring field conditions and crop progress, performing general on-farm labor, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Work must be performed efficiently and in accordance with time-sensitive demands dictated by weather, crop maturity, and regional agricultural conditions. All duties are directly related to the production and harvesting of crops during the peak season and require prior experience operating modern farm machinery in similar conditions. The need for labor is driven by a substantial seasonal increase in workload from mid-April through early November. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
